Student life is the heartbeat of Purdue Calumet. New experiences, lifelong relationships, leadership opportunities, – all are part of your campus life here. Most of all, you’ll have FUN.
You can get involved with any of nearly 100 student organizations, ranging from career-related to special interest to religious to multicultural. Join a sorority or fraternity. Or participate in a robust intramurals program that includes more than 40 offerings – from air hockey to wiffleball and growing all the time.
Purdue Calumet’s student body is one of the most diverse in the state of Indiana. About one-third of the university’s students are members of minority groups and 57 percent are women. Approximately 7 percent are international students representing 44 different countries.
“The biggest thing that I loved about coming here was the diversity. It was an eye-opening experience, the different cultures, people. It is very important to consider that – you’re not going to work with just one culture.” — ARMANDO CABRERA (BS ’13, Electrical Engineering Technology)
