Sunday Grocery Shuttle Resumes for Village Residents January 22, 2012

On Sundays only, the Peregrine shuttle will run continuous shuttle service to and from Ultra Foods and Food4less for 4 hours.

Shuttle service starts at 12 noon and runs every 1/2 hour until 4pm.  The pickup location is from the front parking lot at the University Villages.

No reservations necessary, but you must sign-up for the service at the Phase II Information Desk.  Passengers will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis.

The Sunday service will run until the end of the 2012 spring semester.

Regional Bus Authority Is Expanding Service

On Monday August 2 2010, the Northwest Indiana Regional Bus Authority (RBA) started new bus service to Hammond, Lake and Porter Counties. 

The new Buses are called Easygo, and operate on extended hours from 6:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Friday.  Saturday service starts August 7, 2010.

The buses are newer and more reliable than in recent years.  New regional routes allow commuters to travel from city to city in Northwest Indiana as well as Chicago destinations.

The two routes that service Purdue Calumet best is the (GREEN ROUTE)  171st Woodmar Ave.  and (BLUE ROUTE)  169th / 173rd Streets.

Peregrine Shuttle

Regular service resumes for the Peregrine Shuttle during Open Registration, Monday August 24, 2009.

The Peregrine Shuttle is a free service for Purdue Calumet students and employees.  To reserve or request a free ride on the shuttle, visit or phone the Information Center in the SUL Building (989-2400) between 8am and 5pm.  Or The University Village front desk (989-4150), between 5pm and 10pm.

All Peregrine Express Shuttle Bus Passengers

Effective Monday, March 9, 2009, a new, convenient 7-passenger van replaces the 22-passenger Peregrine Express bus for shuttle transportation to and from campus.

The service remains free of charge to all Purdue Calumet students and employees.  Likewise, the same pre-reservation process used for reserving rides on the Peregrine Shuttle remains in effect for all individuals who desire to ride the van.

Reservations are accommodated on a first come, first served basis.

Peregrine Shuttle changes schedule

The Peregrine Shuttle operates from an on-demand schedule, six days a week, most weeks a year.

Details about scheduling a ride on the Peregrine Shuttle are available at the Information Center located on the first floor of the Student Union and Library Building or the Front Desk at the University Village.

Purdue Calumet introduces van shuttle service for students, faculty and staff.

To better accommodate students, faculty and staff, Purdue University Calumet uses a shuttle Van to make stops along the Indianapolis Boulevard corridor, as well as other Northwest Indiana locations. 

The 7 passenger van, called the Peregrine Shuttle, can be ridden with a Purdue Calumet ID card, at no charge.  Various routes to and from campus are scheduled Monday through Saturday, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Depending on the route, stops include: Wal-Mart and Showplace Theatres in Schererville, Meijer and Target stores in Highland, Van Til’s supermarket in Hammond, and the South Shore commuter train station in East Chicago.
