At our recent campus Scholarship Luncheon, two students expressed what they appreciate about Purdue Calumet.

“The reasons I chose (to attend) Purdue University Calumet were numerous. However, it was plain…that Purdue University Calumet was the best choice for me in attending a (College) of Nursing. The NCLEX, or state board, pass rate is the highest in the state of Indiana year after year. Based on this, Purdue University Calumet graduates have prestige that is well received among employers in the area…I look forward to the future that lies ahead for me, and I know that my opportunities are limitless based on the foundation I have received here…

 “…After many months of promising conversation with (men’s soccer) Coach James Drzewiecki, I was offered a scholarship to play soccer with Purdue Calumet…(Coach Drzewiecki) offered a great deal of support to help me submit the correct documents to the right people…Academically…I was added to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. Outside of class and away from the team, I was asked by Engineering Professor Harvey Abramowitz to take part in a senior design project, the moonbuggy competition, as a freshman assistant…In addition to (my) scholarship, the assistance I have received from various contacts has been fantastic…
