Constructing a 2+2 agreement with College of DuPage

Associate degree graduates in construction management at DuPage College in Glen Ellyn, Ill. can benefit from a baccalaureate degree partnership with Purdue Calumet.

A 2 + 2 Academic Agreement will ensure that education beyond their A.A. S. degree will be available in an uninterrupted manner, with transfer credits applied toward a bachelor’s degree in their chosen field.

Benefits to both schools

This 2+2 articulation agreement also is a partnership, according to Anthony Gregory, Purdue Calumet head of the Department of Construction Management and Engineering Technologies.

“Both Purdue University Calumet and the College of DuPage are committed to continue to work together to keep their respective programs current and strong,” he added.  “The real winners are the students, as they now have a clear path to continue their education in order to earn an accredited bachelor’s degree.”

Agreement specifics

The agreement states that DuPage graduates earning an A. A. S. degree in construction management may transfer and apply to the Purdue Calumet baccalaureate degree program up to 66 credits from courses in which they earned a grade of “C” or better.

Accumulation of an additional 64 credits at Purdue Calumet is required to earn the baccalaureate degree.
