Purdue Calumet addresses its role to markets
The challenge is finding ways for Purdue Calumet to use social media strategically to engage with current and potential students, business and research partners, alumni, and markets both in and outside the region.
To speak to this challenge, we have made social media a focus of our marketing and engagement efforts. As a university, we want to provide relevant and beneficial information about our potential to others and invite them to engage with us through our website, follow us on Facebook, or come to campus. We have to balance that approach by listening and offering input through conversation.
Invitation to attend ‘Social Media Wednesdays’
To stay on top of this, we have established Social Media Wednesdays each week. We invite internal clients who can use our ideas and support to increase their social media impact. We also invite clients who have established active social media sites and learn from them. To date, we have interacted, supported and shared best practices with dozens of users across campus.
We are here to assist, learn and share ideas
Does your school, program or unit have a social media presence? If not, let us get you started. Have you started one and find it needs to grow? Let us help there as well. Our Social Media Wednesdays are casual conversations with anyone who would like to move forward and welcome the support that University Relations provides. Sessions begin at 2 p.m. and last approximately 30-60 minutes.
