Associate professor of Education Janet Buckenmeyer recently was appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). She is the sole director representing academics and institutions of higher education throughout the world. Her recognition places Purdue Calumet in the forefront of international practitioners and scholars. The appointment on the seven-member board continues for two years.
ISPI has been in existence since 162 and represents performance improvement professionals throughout the United States, Canada and 40 additional countries. The mission is to develop and recognize proficiency of members, as well as advocate the use of Human Performance Technology.
Communications Professor Yahya Kamalipour has received the 2013 Research Award offered by the Information and Telecommunication Education and Research Association (ITERA).
Professor Kamalipour’s was cited for his worldwide travels and international efforts, especially his work in creating the, “Global Media Journal.”
ITERA is a group of professionals dedicated to advancing information management and technology. Many of the universities that are part of the ITERA consortium of schools offer programs in media and telecommunications.
