SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test):
- The SAT test is divided into two tests: Reasoning and Subject Matter.
- The Reasoning Test is a three-hour, primarily multiple-choice test that measures a student’s verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities that have developed over time.
- The Subject Matter Test is a one-hour test. Students can choose from 20 different subjects, such as U.S. History, English Literature, and Chemistry. Language subject tests are also available with a listening component. These tests measure an individual’s ability to read and understand a particular language.
