CIS 20400 Test Out

Testing out of CIS 20400

The Testing Services Center administers the CIS 20400 test-out exam.  This exam covers the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. 

The CIS 20400 test out windows for Summer and Fall 2013 are:

 April 29 – May 17, 2013 (Maymester & Summer)

August 5 – August 23, 2013 (Fall)

The test out is given via MyITLab online in the Testing Services Center, Lawshe 118.

Cost for testing is $15.00 for the MYITLab access code.  This $15.00 code is good for two weeks only, so you must complete the test out within this time frame.  This two-week code can be purchased online at MyITLab at your first appointment.  No other costs are associated with this exam.

The test has five parts:  a 50 question concept test timed at one hour, an Access assignment, an Excel assignment, a Word assignment and a Power Point assignment.  The application assignments are not timed.  You will have one attempt to complete the application assignments and must score 70% or better on the labs in order to pass.

The Testing Services Center hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. 

Bring an ID to the Testing Services Center; you may NOT test without proof of identification.  Acceptable forms of ID are a current drivers’ license, current passport, current state-issued ID card or school ID card with name and photo.
