The College of Technology is hosting its annual Technology Day on Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the Main Concourse of the Student Union Library Building on the Calumet Campus. As one component of this event, there will be a Showcase of poster/project presentations of your Capstone area of study. A requirement of your Capstone (Senior Project) Course is the creation of a poster and participation in the Technology Day Showcase.
You must register for the event before Friday, April 11th. Please complete the Online Registration form to reserve a place in the Showcase! Your registration will provide you with a table in the event, free lunch voucher and a 48” x 36” Presentation display panel to showcase your project.
The registration form requires a project title and abstract of no more than 150 words. If you have not written an abstract before, please speak with your Capstone (Senior Project) Course Instructor. We encourage you to write your abstract in a word processing program, such as Microsoft Word, so you can take advantage of the spell-check and word count features, then copy and paste your abstract into the form.
Your Presentation Poster is a succinct summary of your project that is meant to interest and attract readers, many of whom may not be familiar with your area of study. It is a visual display of your project and may be kept in university archives for the purposes of communication, accreditation documentation and history. A single project title page and a maximum of eight (8) PowerPoint slides can be printed and mounted on the panels.
You should be available at your exhibit during the showcase from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Display panels can be picked up from ANDR-202 beginning on Friday, April 18th.
Only completed, functioning, and professionally presented projects will be eligible for display. Thank you and we hope you enjoy your day displaying all the hard work you have done.
