Promoting Student Understanding in STEM disciplines

Dr. Magesh Chandramouli, Assistant Professor, Computer Graphics Technology, will be one of the developers for the TEAMS project. TEAMS is an annual competition where students work collaboratively to solve real-world engineering challenges, applying their math and science skills in practical, creative ways.

Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science (TEAMS) provides a one-day competition to students interested in engineering, mathematics, and science. Each year, the TEAMS competition is based on one of the National Academy of Engineering’s Grand Challenges themes. For 2014, the theme is “Restore and Improve Urban Infrastructure” and Magesh’s topic area is  ‘Using virtual reality to develop Urban Infrastructure’.
