“OSHA Training” at Purdue University Calumet this Summer

OSHA 511: OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS FOR THE GENERAL INDUSTRY

Purdue University Calumet, in partnership with the Heartland OSHA Education Center at Indiana University, will sponsor the OSHA 511: Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry course on August 16 to 19, 2010.

This course is designed for individuals interested in developing general industry safety & health programs. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that most commonly result in worker injury or property damage, using OSHA policies, procedures, and standards as guides. Participants are also briefed on basic instructional approaches, improving compliance communication, and training at the work site.

OSHA 511 is the course prerequisite for OSHA 501: Trainer Course in Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry.
