Jose Pena, Associate Professor, Civil Engineering Technology, was awarded a 2010 Faculty Summer Research Grant. He will be researching “Determination of Oxygen Diffusion Coefficient in Concrete Containing Recycled-surface- treated rubber by use of Electrochemical Methods.” This project will measure the amount of oxygen diffusing through concrete as a means to establish corrosion protection methods for reinforcement inside concrete.
