To Student Support Services Participants:

We are deeply saddened to announce that the federally supported Student Support Services Program (SSS) is no longer funded at Purdue University Calumet. We are planning an appeal to the U.S. Department of Education with the hopes of regaining our funding but, until that time becomes a reality, the program is officially closed and we can no longer provide the services and programming you’ve come to expect from our department.

Our primary goal is to insure that each of you are aware of other resources and services located on our campus. Some departments on campus where you can receive supplementary help and assistance with academic and/or personal concerns are the Skills Assessment and Development Center (Gyte 102), The Counseling Center (Gyte 005), and the Writing Center (CLO 265) Do not hesitate to visit these departments if you are in need of guidance and/or academic support. They are here to help all Purdue Calumet students.

The Office of Disability Resources (ODR) still exists and will continue to provide accommodations for students with documented disabilities. Please contact Kimberly Walton-Trajkovski at 219.989.2455 if you have any questions regarding accommodations or other services her office provides.

If you have any questions or are in need of additional information, please contact the Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Educational Opportunity Programs at 219.989.2779.

Thank you for being a vital part of making the SSS Program at Purdue University Calumet so successful and prevailing! We want to wish each of you continued success in your academic and personal endeavors!

Best wishes,

The Student Support Services Staff
Mr. Fred, Mary Ann Frenchik, Juan Casas, Kathy Puntillo and Yani Diaz
