April 4, 2013
Office of Research and Graduate Studies
Faculty Research Board
Undergraduate and graduate students in all disciplines (Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Technology, Nursing, Management, Education, and EMS) at Purdue University Calumet are invited to participate in Student Research Day (April 4, Student Union Library Building) for oral or poster presentations. All students who have participated in scholarly research during spring 2012, summer 2012, fall 2012 and spring 2013 are encouraged to present their work. Those who have received any research grants from the Student Research Office in 2012, and grant recipients in Spring 2013 who will graduate in May or December 2013 are required to make a presentation at the event. Working projects in progress are also encouraged to introduce their researches and present their preliminary results (not necessarily with conclusion).
Student Research Award winners will be selected among the participants based on two-page written summaries and oral or poster presentations. Three awards (first place of $400, second place of $250, and third place of $100) will be given for each of the four categories: undergraduate oral presentation, undergraduate poster presentation, graduate oral presentation, and graduate poster presentation.
Submission deadline: Two MS Word files, one for Cover Sheet and another for two-page summary (single spaced, Times New Roman 12), are due by March 3, 2013, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send your submission as two attachments saved as “SRAcover-Student Last Name” and “SRAproposal-Student Last Name”. Please use the attached cover sheet. Feel free to read the attached judging criteria in order to prepare for your written summary and presentation.
