Each semester the Wellness Center sponsors regular blood drives with the American Red Cross. These drives give students and staff a convenient opportunity to share their good health with others in the local community. A Health and Fitness Fair is conducted every spring in the Student Union & Library building. Local vendors are invited on campus to build awareness of services that are available in the general community. These vendors provide free screenings, give-away items and an abundance of information on varied health and wellness topics.
Other activities throughout the year include The Great American SmokeOut, Safe Spring Break Week and Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week. These activities are non-threatening opportunities to point out consequences of lifestyle choices and offer strategies for making better choices.
