The Information Center serves as a clearinghouse for information pertinent to the campus community. Publicity by non-student groups for any bulletin board must be approved (stamped) by the staff at the Center. The Information Center serves as a lost and found drop-off station and facilitates transfer of lost and found items to University Police. Various publications are available free of charge.
The Information Center maintains schedules of campus events. Course and final exam schedules are available at the Information Center each session.
The staff at the Information Center is also available to answer any general questions about the campus or to direct individuals to departments whose staff members can answer specific questions.
The Peregrine Shuttle is a free service for Purdue Calumet students and employees. To reserve or request a free ride on the shuttle, visit or phone the Information Center in the Student Union & Library (989-2400) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Various routes to and from campus are scheduled Monday through Saturday, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Route stops include: Wal-Mart and Showplace Theatres in Schererville, Meijer and Target stores in Highland, Van Til’s supermarket in Hammond, and the South Shore commuter train station in East Chicago.
Student lockers located across campus are handled on a first come basis with students providing their own locks. A scheduled “clean out” of student lockers will occur annually following spring semester finals. Any locks not removed will be cut off, valuables will be delivered to the University Police and the remaining contents discarded.
