Financing Your Child’s Education
Students at Purdue University Calumet received over $47 million in scholarships, grants, remissions, loans, employment and employment-related funding to help meet their educational expenses this past academic year. The Office of Financial Aid and Student Accounts, committed to assisting students with identifying resources available to help finance their education, values the importance of your role in helping your student with their finances.
We encourage you, as a parent, to work with your student, regardless of level of income, to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) in order to place your son/daughter in the best possible financial position. By filing the FAFSA by the March 10 priority deadline every academic year(March 10, 2009 for the 2009-2010 academic year) your student will be considered for all levels of aid – federal (grants, loans, and student employment – work study), state (grants and scholarships), and institutional (scholarships) aid.
Another option available to students and families in financing their education is our monthly FACTS payment plan. This plan provides you and your student with a low-cost, interest-free plan for budgeting tuition and other educational expenses. The FACTS payment plan can also be combined with financial aid or scholarships received by the student.
We welcome your inquiries about financial aid, scholar¬ships, and payment plan options available to you. For more information visit our website at www.calumet.purdue.edu/finaid, call us at 219/989-2301 or write us email@example.com.
