Observation/Assessment

Twice each semester, SI Supervisors observe SI Leaders while they lead their sessions. During these unscheduled visits, SI Supervisors determine whether SI Leaders are fulfilling their requirements. They also ascertain their strengths and areas that they should continue to work on.

SI Leaders and supervisors go over the observation assessments with SI Leaders so SI Leaders can improve their procedures for the next semester.

  • Use of Worksheets
  • Use of books and notes
  • Knowledge of Subject Matter

  • Appropriate leader tone
Student Relations
  • Level of student participation
  • Leader’s reaction to students’ questions
Session Close
  • Leader’s summary of Session
  • Students’ reaction to session as whole
