Hi! My name is Tyler Billingsley and I’m the SI for MA 163 this Spring. In the picture below I’m on the left along with my brother and sister. I’ve always found myself in positions where I’m helping people learn, whether it was in grade school helping my friends learn arithmetic, junior high being a teacher’s assistant, or high school being a section leader in band. When I came to Purdue Calumet and chose my major as mathematics, nothing changed – I was always the first person my friends asked if they needed an explanation of something. Being a math SI now just lets me take what I’ve been doing all my life and help as many people as possible.
