2011 Cyber Security Awareness Month Tips

October 2011 marks the eighth annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month

  • Through a series of events and initiatives, Cyber Security Awareness Month at Purdue University Calumet is intended to engage students, faculty, and staff to raise awareness and educate all of us about cyber security.  Our chosen theme for this year is “Stop, Think, Connect”.  This Campaign’s overarching goal is to help us understand not only the risks that come with using the Internet, but also the importance of practicing safe online behavior.
  • The following links are archives of the 2011 Cyber Security Awareness Month Tips of the Week along with excerpts from our 2011 Cyber Security Event.  We are also taking the opportunity to launch the Purdue Calumet Information Security Facebook Page and Twitter Feed.  These resources are intended to educate and inform you about information security tips and threats that you should be aware of, but not necessarily urgent.
