The following rule clarifications are from the Indiana State Board
- For Entomology C, the event parameters have been modified to be the same as for Rocks and Minerals C: “Each team may bring only one magnifying glass; one commercially published resource that may be tabbed and written in and one 3-ring binder (any size) containing pages of information in any form from any source. The pages must be 3-hole punched and inserted into the rings (sheet protectors are allowed).”
- The event parameters have been modified for Middle School B Division events that limit the number of pages of resource material to replace the limited pages with “one 3-ring binder, any size, containing information in any form from any source. The materials must be 3-hole punched and inserted into the rings. Sheet protectors are allowed. “ This rule will be in effect for all regional tournaments in Indiana and are suggested to be used at all Indiana Invitational tournaments. The state tournament will use the rules on resources as stated in the manual for these events.
- For Bungee Drop, all regional competitions are to use a 20 ounce coke bottle. We plan to make the mass of the bottle, and attachment mechanism to be as close as possible to an integer multiple of 25 grams. It will be this total mass that will be announced at the tournament after the impoundment period ends.
