Military Withdrawals

Policy for Military Withdrawals

Information for faculty, staff, and students called to military service is detailed on this page.

Students called to active military service and unable to complete their semester classes may do one of the following:

  1. Be withdrawn from Purdue Calumet,  at any point in the semester and receive a 100% refund of fees, but not credit (special course fees such as flight instruction will be refunded on a pro rata basis-detailed listing of policy on file in the Office of the Registrar).
  2. Receive full credit after the 8th week of the semester if grades are passing and they are seniors who are degree candidates.
  3. Receive partial credit (and a partial refund) after the fifth week of the semester in accordance with a pre-determined schedule listed below.

After the end of the 12th week, no refund will be issued, but student will receive full credit with passing grades.

The Office of the Registrar will be responsible for handling the procedure of posting partial credit upon consultation with the instructor(s).
