Auditing A Class

A student may wish to audit a class at some point in their academic career; no credit is given for an audited class and the fee is the same as if the student took the class for credit.  If the student has been awarded Dean’s List honors, they will receive a letter from their department indicating that they are eligible for one free audited class applicable for the next term only.

Please obtain a Form 70 from the Office of the Registrar in Lawshe 130.  Form 70 – Request to Audit a Course requires signatures from the instructor, your advisor, the Registrar and Student Accounts, in this order.

The student is entitled to hear lectures, recitations and oral quizzes, but will not participate in classroom exercises except as allowed by the instructor.  The student will neither submit papers when tests or examinations are given, nor take part in laboratory work.  This is all at the discretion of the instructor.
