Look what the Academic Learning Center has to offer!!
All resources and services at the ALC are open to ALL Purdue students come out and take advantage of the many amenities the ALC has to offer.
- Technology Enhanced Classrooms – The Academic Learning Center has three PC classrooms and one Mac classroom. The interactive classrooms at the Academic Learning Center make it possible for a faculty member to teach classes on the Hammond Campus and simultaneously broadcast it to the ALC students. All access to computers and networks is available to PUC students with the same login and password that they would use on the Hammond campus.
- Calnet WiFi Network – CalNet is Purdue University Calumet’s wireless network. It is available to students, faculty, and staff. You only need your PUC Career Account and password to login.
- Student Lounge – The student lounge is an open access computing and study area equipped with PC and MAC computers, as well as color printing.
- Resource Center - The Resource Center is a quiet study, classroom electronically linked to Purdue Calumet’s Library. The Graduate Aide in the Resource Center can help you with your research and writing projects or assignments. The Aide can also answer basic computer questions and provide information about the campus and library.
- Study/Meeting Rooms – Students can reserve a study/meeting room at the ALC. These rooms seat up to four people.
- Fitness Center – Equipped with showers and lockers, the ALC fitness center is available to all current faculty and students at no charge!
- Tutoring – Writing Center tutors are available at the ALC! Undergraduate peer tutors are trained to help students at any stage of the writing process. One-to-one tutoring is also available in English, Mathematics, and Spanish.
