Web Conferencing Tool – WebEx

Webex is Purdue’s new web conferencing tool that allows you to have online meetings with anyone who has an Internet connection – including mobile users. You can connect via audio, video, or both, and share content from your computer such as PowerPoint files, Word documents, or even browse the web together. With the Purdue Northwest unification in progress, online meeting tools are essential. This workshop will focus on how faculty and staff can use Webex to host meetings, record lectures, and share media.

Self and Peer Assessment

The Self and Peer Assessment tool in Blackboard is designed to facilitate the objective, analytical, and learning comprehension skills of students. Reviewing the work of fellow students through criteria-based evaluation allows for constructive feedback. Self and Peer Assessments can help distribute the workload and ensure that students receive feedback from several of their peers. This workshop will cover how to create a Self and Peer Assessment, how to view the submissions and evaluations, and how to send the evaluation results to the Grade Center.
