The Office of Equity and Diversity is responsible for ensuring compliance with several University policies and procedures. These include:
Nondiscrimination Policy Statement
The Nondiscrimination Policy Statement was developed by the University to ensure that all University staff, students and guests are protected from discrimination on the basis of a wide range of factors in any University program, service or activity, as required by certain federal and state laws. A more detailed explanation of the Nondiscrimination Policy Statement is available on this website.
The full text of the Nondiscrimination Policy Statement can be found on the Purdue University website.
The presence of harassment in any form in the University’s programs, services and activities will, by its very nature, interfere with the University’s educational mission. As a result, the University has established the Anti-Harassment Policy to both prohibit acts of harassment and to provide a means for the University to effectively respond to acts of harassment should they occur. A more detailed explanation of the Anti-Harassment Policyis available on this website.
The full text of the Anti-Harassment Policy can be found on the Purdue University website.
Policy on Amorous Relationships
Although the Office of Equity and Diversity is not directly responsible for the enforcement of this policy, the policy is closely aligned with the University’s Anti-Harassment Policy. Individuals engaged in an amorous relationship with another member of the Purdue University Calumet community or who find themselves entering into such a relationship may have a duty to report the relationship to their department or unit head. A more detailed explanation of the Policy on Amorous Relationships is available on this website.
