Nondiscrimination Policy Statement
The Nondiscrimination Policy Statement was developed by the University to ensure that all University staff, students and guests are protected from discrimination on the basis of a wide range of factors in any University program, service or activity, as required by certain federal and state laws. Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action Policy
The Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action Policy was developed by the University to implement and enforce the Nondiscrimination Policy Statement and to operationalize the University’s affirmative action program. The presence of harassment in any form in the University’s programs, services and activities will, by its very nature, interfere with the University’s educational mission. As a result, the University has established the Anti-Harassment Policy to both prohibit acts of harassment and to provide a means for the University to effectively respond to acts of harassment should they occur. Although the Office of Equity and Diversity is not directly responsible for the enforcement of this policy, the policy is closely aligned with the University’s Anti-Harassment Policy. Individuals engaged in an amorous relationship with another member of the Purdue Universit Calumet community or who find themselves entering into such a relationship may have a duty to report the relationship to their department or unit head. Anyone who believes he or she has been subjected to conduct that violates the Univerity’s Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action Policy or the University’s Anti-Harassment Policy can file a complaint with the University using the Procedures for Resolving Complaints of Discrimination and Harassment. The Office of Equity and Diversity oversees the implementation of these Procedures. These Procedures provide formal and informal means for resolving complaints.
