Policies

The Office of Equity and Diversity is responsible for ensuring compliance with several University policies and procedures. These include:

Nondiscrimination Policy Statement

The Nondiscrimination Policy Statement was developed by the University to ensure that all University staff, students and guests are protected from discrimination on the basis of a wide range of factors in any University program, service or activity, as required by certain federal and state laws. A detailed explanation of the Nondiscrimination Policy Statement is available.

Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action Policy

The Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action Policy was developed by the University to implement and enforce the Nondiscrimination Policy Statement and to operationalize the University’s affirmative action program. A detailed explanation of the Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action Policy can be found online.

Anti-Harassment Policy

The presence of harassment in any form in the University’s programs, services and activities will, by its very nature, interfere with the University’s educational mission. As a result, the University has established the Anti-Harassment Policy to both prohibit acts of harassment and to provide a means for the University to effectively respond to acts of harassment should they occur. The full text of the Anti-Harassment policy can be found online.
