New Student Transfer Orientation
As a transfer student, we understand that your needs are quite different that those of a beginning freshman. In order to serve our transfer students better, we have decided to hold a separate orientation just for you!
Registration Process
The registration process for all transfer students will follow the same format as any other student. You can register online by completing the registration form on the Register Here page or by calling our office at 219-989-2358.
New Student Transfer Orientation Dates
The first transfer student orientation date that will be open and available for registration is:
- Wednesday, June 26th
- Saturday, August 3rd
To better assist you with making sure you can secure classes, you can contact your academic advisor at any moment prior to attending orientation. We highly recommend that you get in contact with your academic advisor as soon as possible due to the high demand for classes. If you do not know your academic advisor, please contact our office at 219-989-4160 to get the name and contact of your advisor.
Payment Information
There is a required $30 non-refundable fee for attending orientation. This fee cannot be waived. It is required that you pay for orientation fee prior to attending orientation. Failure to do so will result in a financial hold placed on your student record preventing registration. Visit our Payment Information page for more information.
Math Placement Exam
Although you are a transfer student, some credits do not transfer over to Purdue University Calumet. If you do not have any transferrable math credits, you will have to complete the math placement exam, prior to registration.

All students MUST complete the following steps BEFORE registering for New Student Orientation
- Apply and Receive Acceptance Letter From Purdue University Calumet
- Complete ALEKS Math Placement Exam
- For Transfer Students: Submit Official Transcripts To Purdue University Calumet
