Purdue University Calumet’s Fitness and Recreation Center will be closed the week of August 11-16, as a modernization and cleaning project is underway to better serve Fitness Center members.
Purdue University Calumet will host its third annual Stand Down from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8 at the Indiana National Guard Limited Army Aviation Support Facility, 6289 Industrial Highway, Gary (near the Gary Airport).
The event will offer services to veterans and their families including employment information, counseling services, health screenings, medical services, substance abuse treatment information, Veterans Administration (VA) and Social Security Benefits, and more.
WANTED: small business employers for which Purdue University Calumet business students can provide free consulting this fall.
As part of the university’s experiential learning initiative, groups of three to five senior students enrolled in the Small Business Consulting course will join faculty members and business owner advisors to form consulting teams that serve individual client companies.
