Purdue University Calumet hosted some 200 Latino high school students from Hammond, East Chicago and Whiting high schools Friday (1/23) at a conference designed to encourage them to obtain a college education.

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education recently granted Purdue Calumet approval to offer Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Electrical and Computer Engineering effective with the upcoming spring semester. Classes begin Jan. 12.
