University experts made topical presentations, provided personal follow-up with attendees and fielded job search and career-related questions during a panel discussion. For the 27th consecutive year, The Times Media Group partnered with Purdue Calumet in co-sponsoring Working Smarter… The program was aimed at individuals who are job seeking, others considering a career change, those contemplating going into business for themselves, individuals returning to the work force after an extended absence and others considering further educational options. Some 5,000 area residents have attended Working Smarter… programs at Purdue Calumet since 1987.
