Purdue Calumet hosting ‘Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ concert April 11

HAMMOND, Ind. – The sound of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will permeate Purdue University Calumet when the popular, alternative rock band performs an outdoor campus concert at 8 p.m., Friday, April 11.

Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for Purdue University Calumet and Purdue University North Central students displaying their student identification card.

The concert will be held at the south end of campus in the parking lot behind Peregrine Hall, 2440 173rd St. Food and beverages will be on sale. Outside food and beverages will not be permitted on campus.

The band’s 2006 album, Don’t You Fake It, featuring singles “Face Down,” “False Pretense,” “Your Guardian Angel” and “Damn Regret,” was certified gold. The band’s music also can be heard on the Madden NFL 2007 game.

“This is a great band, and people can see them for a terrific price,” Purdue Calumet  Assistant Director of Campus Life Debbie Bachmann said “This concert is not only exciting for  people who are fans, but our campus is excited to bring such a big name act to northwest Indiana”.

The concert is sponsored by Purdue Calumet’s Office of  Student Activities and the Student Government Association. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the gymnasium.

Purdue Calumet is a smoke-free campus. Neither are narcotics, alcohol, firearms, bags of any sort or coolers allowed on campus.
