“Our faculty members are engaged in world class research projects that influence and benefit our communities and industries,” Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Professor of Mechanical Engineering Chenn Zhou said. “Faculty Research & Scholarship Day provides an opportunity for our campus and communities to learn more about how Purdue Calumet faculty members are impacting society.”
Six Colleges Represented
The researchers represent all six of Purdue Calumet’s academic colleges: Business; Education; Engineering, Mathematics and Science; Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Nursing; and Technology.
“Research activity is valuable helping faculty members stay current in their respective scholarly fields, as well as advancing new knowledge,” Zhou said.
She added that many Purdue Calumet faculty members also introduce students to research activities and opportunities. Through the process, students enhance their education by learning through engagement and discovery.
