The free open house is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. in Alumni Hall of the university’s Student Union and Library.
Educational Talent Search is a federally-funded program designed to identify and assist high school students from first generation prospective college families and/or low income backgrounds who have demonstrated potential to succeed in higher education. The Educational Talent Search program provides academic, career and financial counseling to participants, while encouraging them to graduate from high school and go on to complete postsecondary education.
Breakout sessions, networking
The open house is designed to provide a venue for Purdue Calumet staff members to enhance communication with Educational Talent Search families, as well as build support and rapport with program participants. Activities, breakout sessions and networking with outreach counselors will take place. Additionally, attendees will learn about the availability of campus and community resources to help enable school success.
