Purdue Calumet Office of Career Services
receives state honor

Purdue University Calumet’s Office of Career Services has received the 2013 Invested Career Award from the Career Development Professionals of Indiana (CDPI).

The award recognizes CDPI members for outstanding research, programs or initiatives that enhance Indiana; distinguished leadership in career development; and/or exemplary performance from career development professionals.

“We are so honored to be recognized by CDPI,” Purdue Calumet Director of Career Services Shelly Robinson said. “As active members of this organization for many years, we have gained great knowledge and support from many talented and experienced career professionals. With the support and encouragement members of this organization have provided, we have been able to achieve quality programming and display dedicated service in all we do for Purdue Calumet students and alumni, as well as our friends, colleagues and employer partners throughout Indiana.”

Last year, Purdue Calumet and Career Services staff hosted the CDPI Career Services Summer Leadership Institute, which included 12 professional development sessions.
