Aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start their own business can learn how to develop a plan for success at a free business plan seminar, hosted by Purdue University Calumet’s Center for Entrepreneurship Success at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30.
Facilitating the seminar is Center for Entrepreneurship Success Director Dushan Nikolovski.
“Starting a business is one of life’s most exciting and stressful times,” Nikolovski said. “Many individuals with business-starting skills do not know where to begin and what their first step should be. Business success starts with a business plan. This seminar will provide insights into developing a plan with step-by-step guidelines.”
Due to limited seating, pre-registration is required to attend the two-hour campus program. Online registration is available at http://webs.purduecal.edu/ecenter/.
Nikolovski calls a business plan a “blueprint.” Continuing, he said, “It should provide guidance through every phase of business development. While there are no guarantees that a new business will be successful, the odds of succeeding increase significantly with a business plan.”
