Valparaiso student elected president of Purdue Calumet Student Government Association

Students Marisa Henderson of Valparaiso and Daniel Curtain of Crown Point have been elected president and vice president, respectively, of Purdue University Calumet’s Student Government Association for the 2012-13 academic year.

Elected to the Student Senate are: Adam Cooper of Munster, representing the School of Management; Erica Edwards of Griffith, School of Nursing; Courtney Schmidt of Crown Point, School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science; Rachel McMahon of Munster, School of Technology; Justin Camper of Riverdale, Ill., School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Steven LaBuda of Highland, School of Education; Hannah Amor of Lakeville, At-Large Residential; and Nolan Mancera of Schererville, At-Large Commuter.

The new officers begin their duties May 7.
