PUC golf outing to benefit student, athlete scholarships

Purdue University Calumet will host the 31st Annual Powers-Purdue Calumet Golf Invitational June 27 at Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville.

The outing has contributed approximately $700,000 for student aid over the years.  The event draws about 150 golfers representing a wide variety of businesses and professions in the Calumet region.

The entry fee is $250 per golfer and includes golf, breakfast, lunch and refreshments.  Confirmation for attendance is required by June 20.

The day will begin with a breakfast buffet at 8 a.m. and will end with a lunch and program at 2 p.m.  A shotgun tee-off will commence at 9:30 a.m.

Sponsorship options range from $200 as a golf hole-sponsor to $2,500 or greater as a major sponsor.

Additional information on the outing or sponsorships can be obtained by contacting Janet Hero or John Friend at 219/989-2540.
