High school seniors, transfer students and adults who plan to attend college next fall, but have yet to finalize their plans, are invited to attend a special View Purdue Calumet visitation program and open house, Friday (4/22) at 9:30 a.m. in the university’s Student Union & Library.
The program is designed to provide attendees an overview of Purdue Calumet. Prospective students and family members will have an opportunity to meet with faculty; visit academic departments; learn about admission qualifications, financial aid availability, academic scholarships, campus life and the university’s innovative experiential learning program in which each student applies traditional classroom and textbook learning to a work-related, real world experience.
A career services session will be held, as well as various academic presentations and an athletics information session.
There also will be opportunities to talk with current students about campus life; visit classrooms and labs; check out Purdue Calumet’s apartment style, student residential community, The University Village; and tour campus.
A special session for transfer students—those who have earned non-Purdue college credit—also is scheduled.
Prospective students interested in applying for Purdue Calumet admission at this program should bring a sealed official transcript of their current and/or previous institution.
Individuals are encouraged to RSVP in advance their desire to attend the free program at http://webs.calumet.purdue.edu/viewpurdue/rsvp/.
