Purdue University Calumet’s Entrepreneurship Center is holding a Business Owners Forum dinner/workshop for owners of second-stage, larger businesses – those with sales in the millions of dollars – at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the Calumet Conference Center of Purdue Calumet. The workshop is part of the “Business Owners Forum” (BOF) for business owners who are serious about growing their businesses rapidly.
The workshop, entitled “One Page Strategic Plan” (OPSP), will demonstrate a technique that links planning, strategy and accountability. Differing from the traditional planning process, the OPSP model provides a standardized template for communicating a business concept in a brief, but powerful format. Presenting is Dr. Peter Hackbert, developer of the OPSP model. He will describe the model and lead discussions. Following will be a quick presentation from a business owner who will share experiences using the OPSP model. Attendees of the dinner/workshop will learn how to use the OPSP model to achieve strategic growth objectives.
The BOF is unique in that it works on the concept of peer-to-peer learning. Groups of up to 10 owners of larger, non-competing businesses that are successful and ambitious to grow are formed with the primary objective of providing a growth environment. Cost to attend the dinner/workshop is $95 and includes materials. Registration is required by calling (219) 989-2100 or 877/974-2100 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
