<p><strong>BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -</strong> The Purdue University Calumet men&#8217;s tennis team fell to No. 25 Olivet Nazarene, 5-0, in the semifinals of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon. The Peregrines end their 2011-12 campaign with a 4-9 overall record.<span id="more-479"></span></p>
<p>The No. 1 seed Tigers wasted little time clinching a berth to the conference title match, as they claimed all three doubles matches and the first two singles matches to win in the first-to-five tournament format.</p>
<p>Freshman Jeff Stooksbury led the Black and Gold with five victories in singles play on the year, the top mark in program history. Matt Radencic won four singles matches for the second-straight year, while Henry Muro claimed three singles matches.</p>

<p><strong>GRIFFITH, Ind. – </strong>The Purdue University Calumet men’s tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time in program history, defeating local rival Calumet St. Joseph, 8-1, on Wednesday night. The Peregrines improve to 4-8 on the season.<span id="more-469"></span></p>
<p>PUC opened the match with three points in doubles play, as the No. 1 doubles tandem of Matt Radencic and Jeff Stooksbury escaped with a 9-7 victory while Jaime Alvarez and Parth Patel claimed an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles.</p>
<p>Henry Muro claimed a straight-set victory in No. 2 singles action, while Carlo Garcia and Parth Patel each picked up wins as well at No. 3 and No.4 singles.</p>
<p>Purdue Calumet will travel to Bourbonnais, Ill. this Friday, April 27, to face top seed Olivet Nazarene in the semifinals.</p>

<p><strong>MERRILLVILLE, Ind. – </strong>The Purdue University Calumet men’s tennis team split its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Roosevelt before falling to St. Francis (Ill.) in the nightcap. The Peregrines move to 3-8 overall and 2-3 in the conference.<span id="more-459"></span></p>
<p>Purdue Calumet claimed all five of its singles matches in the win over Roosevelt, as all five players won in straight sets. Matt Radencic blanked his opponent for the second-straight match and Jeff Stooksbury won his team-best fifth match of the season. Henry Muro won his No. 3 singles match (6-3, 6-1) Jaime Alvarez and Parth Patel each won at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.</p>
<p>The victory over the Lakers in the opener helped PUC secure the No. 4 seed in the CCAC Tournament next week, as the Black and Gold will host local rival Calumet St. Joseph this Tuesday.</p>
<p>The Saints proved too much for Purdue Calumet in the finale, as they breezed their way to a 9-0 win. Patel won three games at No. 5 singles to top the Peregrines, while Alvarez claimed two games at No. 4 singles.</p>

<p>Matt Radencic claimed a straight-set victory over Stephen McClain in No. 1 singles, while Jeff Stooksbury improved to 4-5 at No. 2 singles this season with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Luis Harro. Henry Muro and Carlo Garcia each tallied their first victories of the year, winning in consecutive sets in No. 3 and No. 4 singles action.</p>
<p>Radencic and Stooksbury teamed up to take an 8-2 victory in No. 1 doubles, while Jaime Alvarez and Parth Patel defeated Tommy Pieprzycki and Andrew Smith, 8-1, in No. 2 doubles play.</p>
<p>The Peregrines will travel to Joliet, Ill. to face St. Francis in a CCAC match this Friday, April 20.</p>

<p>Freshman Jeff Stooksbury topped the Black and Gold, winning seven games at No. 2 singles before falling 7-6 (7-5), 6-1. He would then team up with Matt Radencic in No. 1 doubles, but would fall just short, 8-5.</p>
<p>Jaime Alvarez won five games at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-4), while Carlo Garcia (No. 3 singles) and Parth Patel (No. 6 singles) each lost 6-1, 6-2 in their collegiate debuts.</p>
<p>Purdue Calumet will be back in action next Saturday, April 14, when it hosts Olivet Nazarene at the Andrean High School courts in the latter part of a men’s/women’s doubleheader. First serve is set for 10:30 a.m.</p>

<p><strong>RENSSELAER, Ind. –</strong> The Purdue University Calumet men’s tennis team dropped a heartbreaking match, 5-4, to Indiana East on Sunday morning. The Peregrines fall to 1-5 on the season, wrapping up the 2011 fall season.<span id="more-400"></span></p>
<p>PUC got off to a good start with victories in No. 1, 2 and 3 singles. Matt Radencic and Jeff Stooksbury each won for the second-straight day, as Radencic claimed a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles and Stooksbury used a 10-1 win in the tiebreaker to his No. 2 singles match. Cort Thompson won his first collegiate match with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.</p>
<p>The Red Wolves would come back and knot the match at 3-3 with wins in the final three singles matches to set up a doubles showdown.</p>
<p>The No. 1 doubles tandem of Radenic and Thompson would once again put the Black and Gold on top with an 8-3 win over Tyler Butler and Zach Smith. However, IUE would pull out the victory with the victories at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.</p>
<p>Radencic improved to 3-4 in No. 1 singles play on the year, defeating Jared Williams in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. Haworth slipped by Andrew Moment in the first set, 7-5, before cruising to a 6-1 victory in the final set to improve to 3-1 in No. 2 singles.</p>
<p>In other action, Jaime Alvarez and Scott Reynolds each won four games in singles action, while the No. 1 doubles tandem of Haworth and Radencic claimed three games on the afternoon.</p>
<p>Purdue Calumet will take the winter off, before opening up its spring schedule against Robert Morris on April 3.</p>

<p>Purdue Calumet dominated singles play en route to the win over the Crimson Wave, as the Black and Gold’s young squad swept the singles action. Matt Radencic defeated Stephen McClain 6-0, 7-5 in No. 1 singles, while Jeff Stooksbury took down Luis Harro 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.</p>
<p>James Haworth and Robert Markovich each claimed straight-set decisions at No. 3 and No. 4, before Igor Manevski won at No. 5 singles. CCSJ would take both of the doubles matches, but it would not be enough as the Peregrines rolled on to victory.</p>
<p>Indiana Southeast cruised to win in Saturday’s finale, as Haworth won three games to top PUC. The No. 1 doubles tandem of Radencic and Stooksbury also won three games in the match.</p>
<p>Purdue Calumet will turn around and play Indiana East on Sunday morning in the SJC Fall Invitational’s final day of action. The match will wrap up the team’s spring schedule.</p>
