Professor wins Entrepreneurship Award

A Purdue University Calumet professor has received an Acton Foundation Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education Award.
As one of 27 educators selected, Associate Professor of Management Jamaluddin H. Husain of Skokie, Ill., recently attended a two-day seminar about entrepreneurship teaching. He also received a trophy and monetary award.
Husain has served on the Purdue Calumet faculty since 1989. He is credited with having developed and formerly served as director of the university’s Entrepreneurship Center, which has provided training, expertise and innovative assistance to hundreds of relatively new, small business owners to help them manage their business more effectively. While heading the center, he was named the first Coleman Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship at Purdue Calumet. (more…)
