Purdue University Calumet’s Mgmt 433 Personal Selling course taught by Dr. Claudia Costiuc, is being developed into an Experiential Learning course through a PUC Title III grant. The course requires students to compete with their classmates in a graded Sales Competition similar in structure to competitions at fellow universities.
The Sales Competition runs the second half of the semester, and each student prepares for a “mock sell” that is evaluated by the instructor, fellow classmates, and the student himself/herself. As individuals, each student’s score contributes to his team’s overall ranking in the competition.
