Mathematics Minors

Description

We offer two minors in Mathematics, one in Pure Mathematics and the other in Applied Mathematics. Both programs are described below.

  • MA 44600 requires Differential Equations (MA 26400)
  • The prerequisites for MA 45300 are contained in the five required courses.

    Minor in Applied Mathematics
    (23 credit hours)

    Course Requirements:

  • MA 16300 – Integrated Calculus and Analytic Geometry I (5 Cr.)
  • MA 16400 – Integrated Calculus and Analytic Geometry II (5 Cr.)
  • MA 26100 – Multivariate Calculus (4 Cr.)
  • MA 26400 – Differential Equations
  • MA 26500 – Linear Algebra
  • MA 47200 – Applied Mathematics
  • Prerequisites:

      MA 16300 requires High School precalculus or MA 15900

    • Before taking MA 47200, a student should have programming experience.
