Rules

 

This league is open to PUC Students, Faculty & Staff ONLY
This league is not open to the public

**NO CURRENT PUC Basketball players are eligible to play.
(Unless there eligibly to play at PUC is up after the current season)
**Teams are only allowed to have 1 former PUC Basketball player

**All participants MUST HAVE A FITNESS CENTER MEMBERSHIP by WEEK #2 (No Daily passes allowed)
MEMBERSHIPS MUST BE PURCHASED DURING THE WEEK IN LAWSHE OR THE BUSINESS OFFICE IN THE GYM BUILDING (MEMBERSHIPS WILL NOT BE SOLD ON THE WEEKENDS)

**All rosters must be set by week #4
**Players must play in at least 2 games to be playoff eligible
**All players must sign-in before each game (PRINT YOUR FULL NAME)
**Anyone who uses another persons name on the roster when signing in will automatically be kicked out of the league; and that team will have to forfeit that game. The second time this happens the team will be kicked out of the league

**Anyone who sneaks in to play will be banned from the gym on Sundays during the intramural basketball season and your team will not be playoff eligible

**Anyone who starts a fight or shows disrespect to another player, scorekeeper, official or spectator will be removed from the league

**No gym bags allowed in the gym. Lock all of your personal belongings in your locker or car


SLAUGHTER RULE

  • 35 point lead in the 2nd half
  • A team up by 15 or more points can not press the opposing team
  • During the regular season: If one team only has 4 players we will play 4 on 4
  • During the playoffs: If a team has only 4 players they either will play 5 on 4 or take the forfeit. If at anytime during the game there 5th player show-up we will play 5 on 5
  • 6 fouls and you foul out


SCHEDULE

  •  The game schedule is subject to change. If team you are scheduled to play has dropped out we will try and schedule a new opponent. Teams will be contacted in advance of any change. This new game will count on your record.


FORFEITS

  •  If a team forfeits 2 times they will not be playoff eligible and may be removed from the league for the remainder of the season.
  • A team who calls in advance (enough time in advance to notify their opponent) that they will not be able to play will not receive a forfeit. The number to call is 989-2050


ALL-Star Game

  • There will be an All-Star game at the end of the season. The intramural staff (Director, officials and scorekeepers will pick the participants for this game. The criteria they will be looking for:
    • Team Player
    • Shows respect to others (opponents/officials…)
    • Comes on time and makes most games
    • Are they a good player in one/some of these areas (scoring, rebounding, assists, defense)
