The Global Ambassadors (formerly IPO Mentors) are a leading group of students who provide support for international students in adjusting academically, culturally, and socially to the United States and Purdue University Calumet.

We… look forward to helping new students become familiar with campus and community life, provide a connection to the University, and answer many of the questions new students may have upon their arrival and throughout their stay in the U.S.

We…can assist with many of the difficulties that international students face related to language and communicating with others, social interaction and building relationships,  academic standards and meeting classroom expectations, as well as general cultural changes and acclimating to new social customs.

We…also lead a variety of cultural, educational, and social activities developed to foster cross-cultural exchange at Purdue University Calumet, and aimed at helping international students to meet new friends, learn about American culture, and make the most of their college experience in the U.S.
