IAO Welcomes New Leadership to Purdue Calumet

Please join the International Affairs Office (IAO) in welcoming Dr. Dallas Kenny as the new Assistant Vice Chancellor of International Affairs at Purdue University Calumet.Photo of Dr. Dallas Kenny in front of a map

As Assistant Vice Chancellor of International Affairs, Dr. Kenny will oversee campus internationalization, education abroad, international student and scholar services, the English Language Program (ELP), exchange agreements, global partnerships and international alumni initiatives.

A Fulbright Scholar

Dallas comes to us from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where, as the Senior International Officer, he directed international recruitment and admissions, the English Language Institute, immigration, study abroad, cultural programming, partnerships and agreements, and the annual World Affairs Conference. He is a Fulbright Scholar whose academic achievements include several publications and a scholarly book in the field of linguistics.

Wide-Ranging Experience

Dr. Kenny holds a doctorate in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Michigan, in addition to an MAT in Bilingual Pedagogies and a BA in Near Eastern Studies from Wayne State University. He has 17 years of experience in the field of International Education Administration. Dallas studied and taught in Egypt and United Arab Emirates for several years. He also has led successful corporate/community partnerships with Japanese and German companies as well as governmental bodies in support of innovative higher education programs.
