Project 1 – Wireless Network Expansion project
At the end of the 2013 calendar year, approval was granted to expand wireless coverage and performance across the entire Purdue Calumet Campus. This will be accomplished by installing additional wireless devices called access points in strategic locations across the campus. The installation of additional access points increase: coverage, performance, and reliability of the wireless network. The first step of this project included the installation of wireless access points in the University Village Peregrine and Griffin Halls. This first step has been completed. All new wireless access points have been installed and we now provide full building coverage within Peregrine and Griffin Hall. The next step of this project includes the installation of additional access points in strategic locations across the remaining campus buildings and select green spaces. Our estimated time of completion is summer 2014.
