Calnet3 is Purdue University Calumet’s secure wireless network; it connects wireless-ready laptops, tablets, and phones to the Purdue Calumet network and, through it, to the Internet. Calnet3 is accessible throughout all campus buildings and select green spaces. All connections to Calnet3 are authenticated and encrypted in order to help protect your data.
How do I get connected?
A tool is available to get you connected to Calnet3 as quickly as possible. To access it, connect your wireless device to the “Calnet Setup” wireless network, open a web browser, and access your home page. You will be automatically re-directed to the XpressConnect setup page. Follow the on-screen instructions to automatically get connected to the Calnet3 secure wireless network.
Note: Android users may need to allow the installation of non-Market applications in the device settings of their Android device in order to properly run the XpressConnect tool.
What about visiting guests?
Eduroam is available campus wide and provides per-user, per-session encrypted network access for visitors from participating institutions, without the need to gain guest credentials on arrival to an eduroam enabled location.
