Director
The Director provides the overall vision and guidance for the operations of the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The Director strives to educate staff and community members about the policies and procedures in the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The Director serves as a resource to all University Village community members.
Assistant Director
The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing student staff and leadership development for the community and is the Advisor for the University Village Hall Council and the National Residence Hall Honorary. The Assistant Director coordinates the Resident Conduct Process and serves as the Chief Conduct Officer for the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The Assistant Director also oversees and maintains the department’s systems and technology and evaluates the technological needs of the department.
Assignments Coordinator
The Assignments Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the room assignments process for the department. The Assignments Coordinator processes room change requests, works with the Business Manager to process charges for student accounts, and works with the Director on departmental/community marketing efforts.
Residence Life Coordinator
The Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for the selection, training and supervision of the undergraduate personnel. The Residence Life Coordinator and the other HRE Administrative Staff work collaboratively to address the needs of The University Village community. The Residence Life Coordinator is also responsible for the planning and implementation of educational and social events for The University Village community. The Residence Life Coordinator also oversees the Service Desk operations of for The University Village community.
Business Manager-Housing
The Business Manager oversees and monitors the financial activities for the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The Business Manager assists residents in understanding their financial responsibilities in regards to housing charges and also serves as a resource for additional student account questions.
Housing and Residential Education Clerk
The Housing and Residential Education Clerk manages the reception area of the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The HRE Clerk provides administrative support to the administrators of the department. The HRE Clerk also manages The University Village Room Reservation process and department scheduling. The HRE Clerk represents the department by providing University Village tours and providing presentations to prospective residents.
Maintenance Crew Chief
The Maintenance Crew Chief is responsible for the mechanical and physical upkeep of The University Village community.
Maintenance Service Workers
Maintenance Service Workers are responsible for assisting the Maintenance Crew Chief on the mechanical and physical upkeep of The University Village community.
Building Service Workers
Building Service Workers ensure the cleanliness of the public areas and general upkeep of The University Village community.
Graduate Assistant(s)
Graduate Assistants provide administrative support to the Assistant Director of the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The Graduate Assistants assist with the selection, training, and supervision of the undergraduate staff, Residential Education initiatives, and Service Desk operations of The University Village community. Graduate Assistants serve as low-level resident conduct officers, assist with the technological needs of the department, and serve as part of the HRE Senior Staff team.
Resident Assistants
Resident Assistant staff members are front-line personnel who play an integral part in determining the needs of residents as individuals and of the community. Resident Assistants also provide important information to residents throughout their stay in The University Village. They are charged with responsibility for maintaining community standards and enhancing safety, performing administrative tasks, and developing a sense of community.
Community Assistants
The Community Assistants at the Service Desk are responsible for providing assistance to residents of The University Village. Community Assistants are responsible for checking IDs, signing in all guests, answering questions, and making helpful referrals. They require all residents and visitors to produce valid identification upon entering The University Village community.
Mail Distribution Assistants
Mail Distribution Assistants are responsible for the mail operations of The University Village community. Mail Distribution Assistants sort mail and packages and ensure delivery into resident mailboxes.
